Plastic Whale Fishing

Plastic Whale’s fishing trips have several purposes: Participants actively help remove plastic debris from waterways in Amsterdam and Rotterdam while also learning about the world’s plastic problem. The goal is to collect as much plastic waste with as many people as possible.

Instead of simply moving waste from water to land and disposing of plastic, Plastic Whale emphasizes that plastic is a valuable raw material, and its value is honored and appreciated. The company creates economic value from the plastic waste by making boats and office furniture out of the plastic it collects.
